The Next Generation funds are the European Union's response to mitigate the negative effects that the COVID-19 pandemic had on the economies of member states.
It is a financial instrument through which the EU disburses €750 billion in the form of loans to support European countries. This money will be distributed from 2021 to 2026 through grants, direct aid, and loans.
